Affordability

Positive Outlook's facial recognition based player exclusion system works independently of the gaming machine's hardware and software. Expensive gaming machine upgrades or modifications are not required. The cost of the system is largely a one-off expense. When a gaming machine is replaced, the system can be unplugged and installed in the replacement machine within minutes.

The system can be easily installed on all the various types of gaming machines that are approved to operate in New Zealand. The system is also likely to be able to be easily installed on all other gaming machines that are approved to operate in other jurisdictions.

The system's cost is only a fraction of the cost of other harm minimisation initiatives that have been previously mandated throughout the world. The table below sets out the average costs of the previous New Zealand initiatives:

9 Machine Venue

18 Machine Venue

Electronic Monitoring System

Up to $NZ 111,500.00
